Stayed here a few days ago. No breakfast but plenty of Tea, Coffee, Chocolate and Biscuit in room. Room clean and tidy, good location.

Stayed here in July, 2011.After read some bad reviews from Trpadvisor but we still booked the rooms here as we couldn't find anywhere for the Fri - Sat night. It wasn't bad as we expected. Very pleasant stay and good value for money - in Cambridge price ^^'

My daughter and I recently enjoyed a great weekend in Cambridge and stayed at Lantern House. Our downstairs room was ideal, very clean, comfortable beds, plenty of room, a great shower and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The location was great, a 10 minute walk to the river and a pleasant 5 minutes walk further across the Green into the town. Breakfast was adequate and our hosts very obliging. A good budget option for a stay in this lovely town.

Aki and Mena were amazing and really made our stay special. My wife and I stayed at the Lantern House during the Easter holidays for our anniversary, and they even upgraded our room! I would highly recommend the Lantern House for anyone visiting Cambridge. Thanks again Aki and Mena!

The staff ware very accommodating and courteous - the service provided could not have been better. The Lantern House is also situated very well in Cambridge and is a nice oasis within the city, mainly if you consider the price; it is cheap for the category. I recommend it. The English breakfast is very good and diversified.

The owners were very kind to us. Free Parking, free WIFI, free Cambridge Map that cost 60P in tourist information, free Taxi telephone call. The rooms were nice and clean, Breakfast was generous and tasty. Value for money. Will book your house again, thank you.

Generous Breakfast with many choices, Clean and simple room, peaceful all night and very friendly & helpful staff. Free parking and WIFI like bonus as parking in Cambridge is so expensive and I need to work on the internet. But too far to walk (20 min. walk) to town.

Good clean room with free car park. Good location and quiet all night. I don't like English Breakfast, unhealthy but you can have the Continental Breakfast which I didn't try.

We had a great stay at lanternhouse. A nice walk to the center of the city. Quiet during the night, so slept well. parking space in front, very handy. Lovely breakfast and very nice and helpfull staff. Nothing left to wish for!

Stay here in winter, value for money, kind and helpful staff, lovely breakfast that freshly cook every morning BUT a bit too far for me to walk to center city (took me 25 min). Highly recommend : if you don't mind walking a mile and half to town (walk pass Jesus green, nice view but still too much for my age )

We had a very nice time et lanter guesthouse. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are comfortable and very well kept. the breakfast, home-cooked, is delicious. We like above all the friendly atmosphere.

I spent three weeks at the Lantern House. It's very tidy and clean. Breakfast is huge and additional items to choice can change frequently. •••••• TV and wireless in the room. The landlady and the landlord are really kind and they pay attention to your preferences at breakfast, every time ready for a conversation, and helpful. When I was just arrived I was looking for a bike and the landlord brought me to a market to have a look at the second hand bikes.
Definitely, I recommend this B&B!

Very well located and friendly guest house. I stayed for 3 nights, and enjoyed very much the quiet and big room, as well as the generous breakfast. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and they take care of all details: from providing massive amounts of shampoo/conditioner, to free tea. I will definitively recommend this place!

I stayed here on 28/03/11. The room was clean and tidy and was 'as described' on the Bookings.com website. The couple who run this guesthouse were very friendly and helpful. There's a Wetherspoons pub down the road for on a night (turn left and walk down Chesterton Road. The pubs called The Tivoli).
The breakfast was satisfactory. I was quite happy with lots of toast and marmalade but other guests had the Full English and they looked happy enough.
Overall score 9 out of 10. Would go back.

Lantern House is a perfect place to enjoy your stay in Cambridge. It is quiet and very well located, just some minutes walking to the city centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are also a plus: parking and wi-fi for free. We stayed for one week and loved the place... will come back!

Stayed here for two weeks in January 2011. Clean and comfortable rooms for a good price, at a convenient location (nice walk to the center and easy to reach by car). The owners were always very helpful and friendly. I will certainly book here again for my next visit to Cambridge.

I have been staying at this guest-house since 2004 and use it every time I come to Cambridge - and I am very hard to please. You are simply not going to beat the Lantern for the sums of its parts - friendly service, a great location (if you, like me, enjoy walks into town along the riverside rather than a taxi) all at a very reasonable price. I've stayed here alone, on romantic weekends and with my football team and will not be using anywhere else.

We spent a lovely weekend there.We had an ensuite room,everyting was really clean,comfortable beds,no noises and they cleaned the room and changed the towels everyday!The breakfast was just perfect,we had everything we wanted and were offered anything you can imagine!The owners were really friendly and tried to help us all the time.We could also leave our luggage there in our last day.
